According to a small write-up at the beginning of the Phalanna section in the Triton XV catalog, the modern day city of Phalanna is likely near Tyrnavos in the north east quadrant of Greece. The city’s coinage is extensive and suggests that Phalanna had some economic influence at the time. The cataloguer also laments on the difficulty of placing Phalanna bronzes in chronological order as archeological evidence is sparse and other methods such as stylistic considerations do not apply easily.
