Grade: Minor cleaning marks in l. field on obverse. Some minor wear on obverse and a few marks on the helmet on reverse, otherwise, sharp strike, irisdescent toning and very clear imagery. aEF/Mint State.

Timoleon was a Greek politician and general. He was victorious over the Carthaginians in 340/339 BC at the Battle of Krimisos. He was also very involved in the history of Syracuse and was involved into its politics until he died a natural death in 337 BC.
